Target Audience: 
Heads of School, Associate/Assistant Heads of School, Board Members, and Leadership Team members. Teams from schools are strongly encouraged to attend to work together on a strategic plan, although this is not required.

TAIS Strategic Planning Workshop Description:
Developing a strategic plan may be a requirement for accreditation or it could be an expectation of the board--whatever the motivation, it's a commitment that consumes a significant amount of precious time and resources. Will it be worth it? Will the school be stronger as a result?

Planning today is even more complex due to the rapid changes in legislation, curricular strategies, financial options, competitive pressures, and a tightening pool of talented educators. In light of these dynamics, the need for a data-driven, relationship-enabling plan seems obvious, but it’s a struggle to align expectations and progress in the organizational and leadership disciplines required to authentically and sustainably grow.

The TAIS Strategic Planning Workshop is designed to give you practical guidance to craft a plan that will elevate the experience for your leadership team and all stakeholders, helping you grow as a strategic organization.

Our learning objectives include:

  • Accurate organizational assessment using the School Growth Design Framework™
  • Data Analysis to progressively clarify the school’s current position and discover the organizational genius
  • Strategic Planning Structure with supporting disciplines to build leadership capacity, trust, and engagement

And, we’ll actually have some fun together!

Scott Barron, Chief Reinvention Officer of School Growth
Scott Barron is an experienced educator, entrepreneur, and author recognized as a leading voice advocating for and encouraging those who lead schools. He is the Chief Reinvention Officer of School Growth LLC and the Executive Director of the Educators Fellowship. Scott earned an M.Ed from Johns Hopkins University, along with a B.A. in Religion and a B.S. in Computer Science from Mars Hill University. He has spoken at events across the globe as a leadership expert on relational ecosystems and strategic wisdom.



Tammy Barron, President of School Growth
Tammy Barron is an expert in growing schools, especially in developing a disciplined, data-driven approach to enrollment strategy and management.   She is a life-long educator who has served at all levels of school leadership. Her research into organizational design and decision-making has enabled schools to overcome the barriers to growth to achieve greater revenue and joy. She is the author of multiple resources for educators, including “Year Round Enrollment Management” and “Building Faculty Engagement to Grow.”






TAIS Board-Approved Cancellation Policy
Attendees will receive a full refund for an in-person event if they cancel up to three weeks prior to the event and a 50% refund up to two weeks before the event. Refunds are not possible after two weeks prior to the event due to the costs incurred for food orders and other administrative and setup fees. All refunds will reflect a 15% administration fee.
