Scott Wilson  (2022) 

Scott Wilson’s impressive tenure in independent school education is marked by work to broaden students’ perspectives and opportunities as well as to give back to the larger independent school community. Scott served as the head of Baylor School for 11 years where he oversaw significant curricular additions, including the Civic Scholars Program, Global Scholars Program, and an Advanced Science, Engineering, and Research Program. Scott also led Baylor through its most successful capital campaign to date, raising $53 million for a $30 million capital improvement project and to boost the school’s endowment.  

Scott served as the Head of School at Valwood School (GA) and Brookstone School (GA) before returning to Baylor as Head. He served on the TAIS Board, the SAIS Board, and was a facilitator for the SAIS New Heads Institute in Atlanta for eight years. Scott continues to serve independent schools as a Platinum Executive Coach with ISM where he also leads a cohort of Boarding School Heads.
