This virtual workshop, co-sponsored by TAIS and NCAIS, highlights the core elements of educational and social neuroscience as they relate to students’ learning outcomes today. The day will begin with Katherine R. G. Mendez's keynote, Supporting Executive Function in the Classroom. Dr. Mendez teaches executive functioning in addition to speech-language pathology. After the keynote, participants can choose from eleven breakout sessions provided by faculty experts from TAIS and NCAIS schools as well as experts from around the country. Participants can join live and/or watch the recordings of these sessions. 

Both current research and practical applications will be emphasized to help teachers increase their capacity to create classrooms that are academically and socially enriching for all learners. These interactive sessions will offer a well-rounded understanding of how to design effective instruction and interventions for neurodiverse student populations.
