Location: Christ Presbyterian Academy, Nashville
Speaker: Jake Neuberg, Revolution Prep Co-founder
Who Should Attend?: College Counselors, Learning Specialists, School Counselors
Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are not enough to prepare today's students for life-long success. Students must also have a mindset which motivates them to overcomethe rigors of college admissions, the pressures of social media, and the burdens of overstuffed schedules. Luckily, like the three Rs, mindset is a skill that can be developed with time, effort, and training. During this presentation, we will discuss the research of Dr. Carol Dweck, author of Mindset: The New Psychology of Success, and How Growth Mindset is an Essential Component of Student Success. And for educators already familiar with the work of Dr. Dweck, we will discuss practical ways to foster a Growth Mindset in students, parents, and teachers.
ACT and SAT Tutoring
For most students, the SAT or ACT is the longest, trickiest, and most arduous academic task they've encountered to date. We will give an expert breakdown of test structure, content, and how utilizing our full-length ACT and SAT practice exams and subsequent comprehensive score report reviews help both students and parents develop a focused test prep plan.
