Book Study Schedule:
The reading will be broken into three parts, corresponding to each discussion session described below.

February 22 @ 6 pm CST/ 7 pm EST
Part One: Participants will explore the concept of giving themselves and others “permission to feel.” They will reflect on how emotions give us information and consider how they can promote being an “emotion scientist."
Please read Part One before the session.

March 8 @ 6 pm CST / 7 pm EST
Part Two: Participants will explore the five skills of emotional intelligence: recognize, understand, label, express, and regulate. They will reflect on how they use these skills personally and consider how they model the use of these skills for their students.
Please read Part Two before the session.

March 22 @ 6 pm CST / 7 pm EST
Part Three: Participants will return to the five skills of emotional intelligence and consider how they can explicitly teach and promote these skills in their schools and classrooms.
Please read Part Three before the session.
